The editors of this thought-provoking collection of essays are health policy directors and professors at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. They have assembled an orchestra of thought leaders from Johns Hopkins University, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Columbia University, the RAND Corporation, UCSF, and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Experienced managed care physician leaders and nursing professors round out the assemblage, giving us variations on a number of central themes.
