The editor and authors of Transfusion Therapy have
successfully taken on the Herculean task of summarizing the vast evidence
and data from the transfusion medicine literature, to provide practical guidance
in clinical practice. I found this book a bit easier to read than the first
edition, as it seems to flow more smoothly. While most of it is a pragmatic
resource for the more common concerns of transfusion medicine, a minor portion
is devoted to more specialized services, such as hematopoietic transplantation.
