Is it a trifecta to review the latest editions of three major rheumatology
texts (Kelley’s Textbook of Rheumatology, edited
by Harris et al, Rheumatology, edited by Hochberg
et al, and Arthritis and Allied Conditions, edited
by Koopman and Moreland) in the same year? Or a troika? All have new and revised
contents and slightly different emphases. (“When shall we three meet
again?” Most likely on a bookshelf in a medical library, as the cost
of each is now high enough that most physicians, even rheumatology specialists,
will not buy all of them). Each has authors who comprise the elite of international
rheumatology (although the one currently reviewed has fewer international
authors than the other two).
