Plastic surgery is one of the few specialties that deals with patients of all ages and sexes and virtually every part of the body, from the head and neck to the distal lower extremity. Therefore, to produce a textbook covering the breadth of plastic surgery in sufficient depth to be useful to the practicing surgeon represents a Herculean task. The second edition of Plastic Surgery meets this challenge and provides an encyclopedic plastic surgery reference that should be a mandatory component of every plastic surgeon's library.
