The fourth edition of Principles and Practice of Geriatric Medicine is a well-written, comprehensive textbook that covers a wide variety of topics related to the care of older persons. The new, fourth edition consists of two volumes with a total of 170 chapters. According to the preface, there are 40 new chapters, and others are rewritten. The book is intended to enhance the geriatrics knowledge of general practitioners, residents, fellows, and geriatricians in both private practice and academic settings. Chapters are contributed by 249 individuals affiliated with universities across the globe.
