Pull away from our wanting you
as you were.
Draw knees to chest,
curl fetaled, dry globe of bone
to hurl through outer boundlessness,
no wind resistance to slow trajectory.
Labor your way
through confinement crawlspace of pain
that opens to ubiquitous being.
Father of my expansiveness,
evaporate from that
bone gully of a damp bed
and rain into beyond.
Rise from our grief
to open-eyed seeing.
Leave us here in this room
preparing to disperse
and meet you everywhere.
