The House has approved a measure that would provide a $50 million boost in funding for the prevention, control, and treatment of tuberculosis (TB), notably strains of TB that are resistant to multiple drugs.
The allocation would go to the Child Survival and Health Programs Fund, a provision in Department of State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2008 (HR 2764 [http://thomas.loc.gov]), passed by the House on June 21.
