Abstract

These lectures, delivered befoie an audience of physician' and medical students, contain a clear and concise discussion of enzymes by a recognized authority and investigator in that field. The various topics are considered primarily front the biologic point of view. The ferments in the alimentary canal, the blood.and the tissues arc reviewed, as well as the methods of obtaining and purifying enzymes, the general properties 0' the enzymes, and their mode of action. To physicians this volume should be of special interest.
