Abstract

ALABAMA 

Salvation Army Dispensary  —A free dispensary has been opened in Anniston under the auspices of the Salvation Army Drs. J. W. Landham and Baxter Rittenberry are in medical charge of the institution.

State Association Meeting  —Plans for the entertainment of the delegates in attendance at the annual meeting of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, to be held in Mobile, April 15-17, include a ball game April 16, a reception for delegates and the ladies on the same evening and a boat ride down the bay, April 17. Dr. P. J. M. Acker is chairman of the committee on arrangements.

Memorial Hospital Opened  —The John A. Andrew Memorial Hospital at the Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute was formally opened and dedicated, February 21. The hospital, which was donated by the granddaughter of the war governor of Massachusetts has been erected at a cost of $50,000. At the
