Abstract

ARKANSAS 

Medical School Gets Appropriation.  —Anofficial notice says that the Arkansas General Assembly has just appropriated $36,000 for the Medical Department of the University of Arkansas for the biennial period ending March 31, 1915.

ILLINOIS.— 

Medical Block for Rockfold.  —The erection of a six-story building on North Main Street near State, to cost $150,000 and to be occupied by physicians and dentists, is being considered by the professional men of Rockford.

Dispensary for Elgin.  —At the meeting of the advisory board of the United Charities of Elgin, March 4, Dr. A. L. Mann, city physician, was asked to bring to the attention of the city commission, the matter of establishing a free dispensary for the poor of Elgin.

Sanotorium Notes.  —A tuberculosis sanatorium is to be established two miles west of Springfield where a ten acre tract of land has been purchased as the site.
