In addition to the ground usually covered by textbooks on gynecology, the author has given especial attention to treatment by physical measures and has reviewed the literature on vitamins and endocrine glands as related to the diseases of women; the latter subject is one which Dr. Bandler discusses most optimistically. The chapter on constipation is the work of Dr. George Mannheimer, and that on syphilis is contributed by Dr. Walter Highman; urinary diseases of women are discussed by Dr. Walter T. Dannreuther. The outstanding feature of the book is the omission of the material frequently copied from text to text, and the attention to simple, up-to-date methods of diagnosis and treatment.
