Hospital Conference.  —The fourth annual conference of the hospitals of California will be held at Long Beach, November 6-8, and the council of the California Medical Association will meet at the same place, November 8. There are other southern California medical associations whose meetings are close enough to these dates to make a continuous visit of a week or more to southern California profitable. Every hospital, clinic, group, roentgen ray or other laboratory and other accredited medical organization is invited to send representatives to this conference. One of the outstanding features to be discussed is the alleged excessive cost of hospital service, and the committee appointed to investigate this problem at the last conference will make its report.
