Abstract

This is a distinct contribution to physical chemistry. The subjects correspond with those taken up in other textbooks, but the author's style is pleasing and the clarity of his explanations is particularly refreshing. Sections on the physical properties of solids and liquids, colloids, and the vapor pressure of volatile mixtures have been purposely omitted. An outline of the contents at the beginning of each chapter gives the reader a comprehensive view of the subject.
