Abstract

—A news item in The Journal, last week, p. 1943, stated that, according to reports, Dr. David B. Ballin, New York, was arrested in New Orleans, May 31, for having passed worthless checks in Memphis, Tenn. Dr. Ballin wires that the report is wholly untrue, and that he has informed the Memphis authorities that the prisoner is an impostor.
