The author of this book must be given credit for a serious effort, yet it is difficult to give the book serious consideration or figure why it was written. If it is for Indians, why should the author use as the method of communication a poor grade of English? Furthermore, there are more mistakes, both as to fact and as to quotation, than should ever be allowed to appear in an educational booklet. To give the appearance of truth under the guise of authority, when as a matter of fact the authorities are misquoted, is a pernicious habit which can only work harm.
