Society News.  —At a meeting of the Jefferson County Medical Society, Birmingham, October 22, Dr. Frederick C. Banting, Toronto, Canada, the guest of honor, spoke on his work on insulin. Dr. Seale Harris, Birmingham, presided, and Dr. William W. Harper, Selma, president of the Medical Society of the State of Alabama, gave an address.


Survey of Physicians' Credentials.  —Governor McRae, October 29, gave his approval to a movement initiated by the Pulaski County Medical Society to have surveyed all credentials and medical licenses issued in Arkansas within the last ten years, as a result of the recent expose of fake diplomas by the St. Louis Star.


Osteopathic Board Declared Valid.  —In a decision recently handed down
