Case, Chicago: The purpose of a department of radiology in a teaching hospital should be to furnish appropriate assistance in the routine examinations and therapeutic management of patients; to participate in staff conferences; to contribute to the instruction of interns and undergraduate students on the application of radiology to the problems of diagnostics and therapy—on the possibilities as well as the limitations of the roentgen-ray aid; to help in various research problems
