Abstract

To the Editor:  —Dr. Thomas J. Orbison, in referring to the personnel of the men who are practicing the Abrams method (The Journal, Dec. 15, 1923, p. 2057), says: "Some that I saw are 'hacks' and some are 'quacks,' but the terrible fact remains that all have certificates to practice the healing art in the state of California, and some of them in other states." This statement of Dr. Orbison may mislead; information has come to us of several instances in which individuals are alleged to have been students of Dr. Abrams' electronic methods who hold no form of certificate entitling them to practice any system of the healing art in the state of California. We are informed that the larger majority of the doctors pursuing the course of electronic methods under Dr. Abrams come from other states, with a goodly sprinkling from foreign countries.
