Personal.  — Dr. Douglas, L. Cannon, Montgomery, state health department, has been appointed secretary of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama for the unexpired term of the late Dr. Henry G. Perry of Montgomery. William T. Fales, B.S., Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Baltimore, was elected director of the bureau of vital statistics of the state board of health succeeding the late Dr. Perry, and Dr. Daniel T. McCall, Mobile, has been appointed a member of the state board of health to fill the vacancy created through the death of Dr. Vivian P. Gaines, Mobile.—Dr. Carl A.
