Personal.  —Dr. Randolph F. Hunter and Dr. Harold W. Comfort have taken up their duties as chief surgeon and associate physician, respectively, at the Scotia Hospital, Scotia, succeeding Drs. Charles C. Cottrell and Frank K. Haight, both of whom recently resigned to engage in private practice.

Resolution About Anesthetists.  —The Community Hospital, Long Beach, recently passed the following resolution regarding anesthetists:Whereas, The California Medical Association has declared that the administration of anesthesia is the practice of medicine.Whereas, The attorney-general of the state of California has ruled that the giving of an anesthetic is the practice of medicine.Whereas, The board of medical examiners of the state of California has ruled that the giving of an anesthetic
