The federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is issuing $112 million in grants to help improve cardiovascular care in smaller primary care practices across the United States.
The EvidenceNOW initiative will provide funds for 3 years to create 7 cooperatives across 12 states that will collaborate to improve delivery of cardiovascular health care at the primary care level (http://1.usa.gov/1AN4QXe). The initiative also includes a grant to the Oregon Health and Science University to evaluate the EvidenceNOW program over 4 years (http://1.usa.gov/1B5B7c5).
