The second volume of Sabouraud's lectures deals with diseases of the scalp. The author is particularly well qualified to discuss this subject, and the reader interested in this special subject will find his detailed discussions exceedingly interesting. The consideration of alopecia areata is particularly detailed, and the significance of its relationship to other diseases, especially syphilis, is very well presented. Nearly half the book is occupied with a discussion of the various aspects of this disease.
