The object of this little work, according to the author, is to give the general practitioner as much information as possible with reference to diagnosis and the treatment of the most common diseases of the ear, nose and throat which he meets in his daily practice. The first section of the book is devoted to the ear, particularly the local medication both of the external auditory canal and of the middle ear. Various methods of examination are described; then follows a discussion of diseases of the external, middle and inner ear together with intracranial complications. A similar outline of topics is presented with reference to the nose, accessory sinuses, pharynx and larynx. The author presents the subjects in a systematic, concise and clear manner.
