It was conceived by the authors as a system of authoritative contributions, each chapter being assigned to an author who showed a special predilection for the subject. An introduction includes the medical history of gonorrhea. Considerable space is devoted to the normal anatomy of the genito-urinary organs of the male and pathologic changes caused by the infection.
