Society News.  —The Larimer County Medical Society was addressed, October 1, by Dr. James A. Matlack, Longmont, on "Publicity for the Physician," and by Dr. Magnus J. Stewart, Loveland, on "Aviation Eye Tests."—The Medical Society of the City and County of Denver was addressed, October 21, by Dr. Earl J. Perkins, Denver, on "Difficulties in Varicose Vein Injections."—Dr. Alfred H. Washburn has assumed the position of full-time director of the child research council of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Hospitals.


Society News.  —The New Haven County Medical Society held its one hundred and forty-seventh semiannual meeting at Waterbury, October 23. Addresses were given by Drs. William H. Morriss, Wallingford, on "Value of Blood Cell
