Abstract

This is another contribution to the numerous German encyclopedic considerations on the subject of medicine. It emanates, however, from the school of military medicine in Leningrad. It provides the available knowledge concerning all of the insects, snakes, spiders, fishes and other living organisms that secrete poisons. There is an excellent bibliography, which does not neglect American contributions. The volume is quite scientific and represents an accumulation of important facts in easily readable form.
