To the Editor The Art of JAMA article by Dr Cole1 may contain several errors. Cole stated the eponymous engraving was made by Francesco Bartolozzi, apparently following the attribution in the Charmet Archive, Bridgeman Art Library, which provides no documentation and contradicts expert opinions. The engraving was in fact made in 1794 by the great poet, painter, and printmaker William Blake and is among the 16 celebrated plates that Blake engraved for Stedman’s Narrative.
