In Reply Dr Price asserts that Blake, and not Bartolozzi, engraved the image originally published in the book edited by Price and Price.1 Blake, Bartolozzi, and other engravers contributed images to Stedman’s narrative, as I stated in my article. The image published in JAMA is not signed, but the sources of the image (Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, France, and Bridgeman Library, New York, New York) indicate that Bartolozzi was the engraver.
