As more people live longer with cancer because of early detection and improved treatments, their complex, lifelong care needs will require greater attention. However, the current health care system isn’t fully equipped to manage their long-term disease sequelae or the potential consequences of radiation therapy or chemotherapy, according to CDC investigators.
