The first edition of this book appeared in 1932. The present edition has been condensed from the tenth edition of the well known book on "Diseases of the Skin" by the same authors. The literature has been brought quite up to date, the number of illustrations has been more than trebled, and all of the type has been reset. The repute of the authors in their chosen field makes it possible for them to secure contributions of much new material from other distinguished dermatologists. As a textbook for students, this volume is to be especially recommended because of its intensely practical character, the succinct manner of presentation of the material and the excellence of the illustrations, both in form and in printing.
