Not my heart, surely, no;

Not that mass of muscle wobbling between air bags,
pounding and throbbing—that quivering thing.
No, I could not give it to you—for it is too tremulous;
too uncertain of itself, this ticking, choking clock
—a broken pendulum, a poor chronograph.
