MEDICAL BILLS IN CONGRESS 

Change in Status.—  S. 1569 has passed the Senate, providing for the termination of leases covering property occupied for professional, business, agricultural or similar purposes where any such lease has been or may be executed on his own behalf by any person who is or may hereafter be in military service by virtue of the provisions of the Selective Training and Service Act or the Public Resolution authorizing the President to call out the reserve units.

Bills Introduced.—  H. R. 4986, introduced by Representative Welch, California, proposes to amend the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. Among other changes proposed, the pending bill would provide for the establishment of panels "of qualified physicians, surgeons, specialists, consultants, laboratory x-ray or other technicians, compensation medical bureaus and laboratories" and would authorize an injured employee to "select to treat him any physician authorized by the Commission
