Preeclampsia and Congenital Heart Defects

To the Editor Dr Auger and colleagues1 investigated the association between preeclampsia and congenital heart defects in Canada. A similar study was recently published using a nationwide birth cohort from Norway.2 The fact that 2 independent studies found that preeclampsia was associated with heart defects in newborns in different populations strengthens the confidence in the results.
