As the author himself states, this atlas is to serve not only roentgenologists but otolaryngologists who have thus far been unable to develop a wide experience with the subject of roentgenology and its results in diseases of the nasal accessory sinuses and the ear. Furthermore, it is to serve them as a basis for their own studies. The work has been developed from actual practice and is written for practitioners. With the exception of a few pictures furnished by Professor Grashey, they are all derived from roentgenograms made in the x-ray department of the university ear, nose and throat clinic at Freiburg in Breisgau. The work is divided into two sections, of which the first deals with the various diseases of the nasal accessory sinuses and the second one with those of the ear and the temporal bone.
