To the Editor In a large multicenter, randomized clinical trial based on a 3% absolute improvement in major adverse cardiac events (cardiac death, target lesion–related myocardial infarction, and ischemia-driven target lesion revascularization), the authors concluded that intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)-guided everolimus-eluting stent implantation was superior to angiography-guided placement.1 Two important methodological differences between the groups raise questions about the conclusions.
