The author, who is director of the bureau of public health education in the Pennsylvania state department of health, has caught the proper point of view for presenting health education to the public. He is at the same time not unaware of what physicians feel in relation to these matters, and avoids trespassing on the ground which properly belongs to the medical man. His humor lightens what is ordinarily a somewhat dry subject. The illustrations, in the form of cartoons by Huber, are remarkably appropriate to the text.
