METHOD OF PROCUREMENT OF MEDICAL OFFICERS FOR THE U. S. NAVAL RESERVE
Rear Admiral Ross T. McIntire, surgeon general of the Navy, has submitted the following information:Recruitment of medical officers for the U. S. Naval Reserve has been transferred from the office of the commandants of the naval districts to the directors of naval officer procurement, located in the cities listed. A physician desiring to apply for appointment in the Medical Corps of the Naval Reserve should communicate directly with the director of naval officer procurement in the location nearest his place of residence. A communication addressed to the director should contain full information regarding date of birth, medical school from which graduated, and professional attainments since graduation. In this communication the prospective applicant should request a circular of information for persons desiring appointment in the U. S. Naval Reserve, and application forms for such appointment.
