In this edition the material has been brought to date and the book has been considerably enlarged. The material on the vitamin B complex alone now covers about a hundred and fifty pages. There is included a section on vitamin K. The appendix includes descriptions of methods of studying the avitaminoses. There are tables of vitamin values of foods. It should be a useful volume for those wishing a fairly concise statement of the chemistry and pathology of the vitamins.
