Changes in Status.—
S. 2248 has been reported to the House, proposing to amend the law relating to the care and custody of insane residents of Alaska. S. 2368 has passed the House and Senate, proposing to eliminate the mandatory requirement that medical statements be furnished to inductees under the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940 on their discharge. S. 2454 has been approved by the President, prescribing the relative rank of members of the Navy Nurse Corps in relation to commissioned officers of the Navy. H. R. 7273 has passed the House, proposing to authorize an appropriation not to exceed $20,000 for maintenance and replacements of government owned reproducers for sound reproduction records for the blind.
