Safe Relief for Teething Symptoms

Clinicians should offer safe alternatives to homeopathic teething tablets and gels that may harm infants and children, the FDA recently announced. The agency recommended that consumers stop using the products and dispose of any they have on hand.

“Teething can be managed without prescription or over-the-counter remedies,” Janet Woodcock, MD, director of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said in a statement.
