To the Editor We would like Drs Raff and Kroshinsky1 to comment on 3 additional issues in the management of cellulitis. First, we were surprised by their omission of the beneficial role of adjunctive corticosteroids, which in a randomized double-blind trial of erysipelas (the European synonym for cellulitis) accelerated clinical response, shortened hospital stay, and may have reduced recurrence rates.2,3
