First Dissection

On the first day, God created shadows, on the sixth day
they moved. Now there is someone else with eyes and
memory, someone else to take a scalpel to a dead body
and pull back the skin. I look at my hands thinking see, I am
different, I am alive, I can get caught in the rain and laugh.
