This textbook was written to supply nurses with potential knowledge of disease and disease processes and to furnish them with instruction in nursing care and procedure in accordance with modern practice. Each disease is considered as to etiology, pathology, symptomatology, diagnosis, complications, prognosis and treatment and, in addition, nursing care. The paragraphs under nursing care are excellent and could be read with advantage by the intern and the medical student as well as by the nurse. In the appendix, the various technical nursing procedures are well described. This work will be valuable as a standard textbook for nurses.
