MEDICAL BILLS IN CONGRESS 

Changes in Status.—  H. R. 4519 has passed the House and Senate and has been signed by the President, appropriating $1,000,000 for use by the Administrator of Veterans' Affairs to provide seeing-eye or guide dogs for blind veterans who are entitled to disability compensation under laws administered by the Veterans' Administrator, and to pay all necessary traveling expenses to and from their homes and incurred in becoming adjusted to the seeing-eye dog. The appropriation may be used, too, to provide such veterans with mechanical electronic equipment for aiding them in overcoming the handicap of blindness. H. R. 4624 has passed the House, without amendment, a bill to consolidate and revise the laws relating to the Public Health Service.
