This handbook, prepared by leading organizations in the field of nursing education and service, contains a wealth of information for young women who are interested in professional nursing and wish to contribute to the care and welfare of the sick. It describes educational requirements, types of nursing schools, cost of preparation, available financial aid, placement opportunities, positions in military and civilian service, working conditions, salary ranges, opportunities for professional and personal development and many other significant factors. Selected references are included as well as other sources from which specific information can be obtained.
