Abstract

This booklet is an instruction manual on the use of two filter photometers manufactured by Hilger and Watts, Ltd., London. The presentation is divided into three sections: a brief discussion of the theory of quantitative analysis by colorimetric methods; detailed instructions on the manipulation of the instruments, and brief summaries of a few important biochemical analyses.

On the dust jacket, this book is described as "A manual of colorimetric methods of analysis specially adapted to the examination of body fluids with photoelectric instruments (absorptionmeters)." From this point of view the book is woefully incomplete. Its principal value is to those who use one of the Hilger colorimeters.
