Abstract

The publisher of this book, Medizinischer Verlag Hans Huber, has done much work in the field covered by the text. The book is divided into three portions and deals with antiseptics, chemotherapeutic agents and antibiotics. The essential facts concerning the many preparations under these three listings are put together in succinct form. A number of references are given which are ordinarily not covered in publications from this country. Of course, it is not as complete as one would expect, since the subjects are of considerable current interest and have been covered in extensive and detailed monographs by various workers in this field. However, it is a useful reference book since it provides an idea of the work which was done during a period when there was not a free exchange of literature.
