In the editorial entitled "Hoxsey—Cancer Charlatan" (The Journal, March 15, p. 774) the statement was made that Norman Baker had died. It appears now that he is still alive and that he recently attempted, with a brother and a Davenport, Iowa, attorney, to establish a research organization (one of its purposes being the collection of money) to study a new method of food preservation. The secretary of state in Iowa refused the petition.
