Abstract

This summary of medical progress in 1945 begins with a brief statement by Lord Horder on social medicine. The book then takes up the various medical specialties seriatim and by references to available periodical literature indicates the innumerable brief steps in medical progress that occur in any given year. Essentially the work may be considered a collection of abstracts with an occasional brief critical review.
