Symposiums on Office Proctology and Urology.
—The University of California School of Medicine will offer two one-day symposiums at the medical center in San Francisco. On Sept. 11, Dr. Walter D. Birnbaum, associate clinical professor of surgery, University of California School of Medicine, will serve as chairman for the symposium on office proctology. The morning program will be held at the University of California Extension Building, 540 Powell St., San Francisco. After luncheon, the symposium will continue at the University of California Hospital, Parnassus and Third Avenues, with demonstration of proctologic examination, "X-Ray Examination of the Colon and Rectum," and "'Medical' Diseases of the Colon." At 4 o'clock there will be a panel discussion. On Sept. 12 Dr. Donald R. Smith, associate clinical professor of urology, University of California School of Medicine, will be chairman for the all-day symposium, which will be held at the University of California Extension
